The journey was started in 1961 in Roperkheda village (Maharashtra, India) Where she born to a Marathi Buddhist family, Saroj’s father served as a police Constable at Repatkhed village in Akola. Kalpana Saroj was married at the Age of 12 and lived In laws house in slum, After suffering physical abuse at the hands of her husband along with family members.
She was rescued by her father, left her husband. returned to her village to live With her parents and started studying. because Of the villagers chatter talk, She attempted suicide but it was fail, one of her cousin-uncle has said- Probably you have done Wrong thing. she thought- “If i want to die by nothing Then why not live by doing something” And after sometime she came to Mumbai and joined a company ‘hosiery Sunmile compound Lorparel, at the per month salary 60rupees (INR)
After 4 year Using government loans for scheduled low caste people, she successfully Started a tailoring business and then a Furniture store after that she did not Look back. She built up a successful real estate business and came to be Known for her Contacts and entrepreneurial skills. She was on the board of Kamani Tubes when it went into liquidation in 2001, and after Taking over the Company, she restructured it and brought it back to profit according to her Own estimates, she has personal Assets worth $114 million.
